• Trainers’ Training Programme on Entrepreneurship Development to the Directors/ Faculty Of RSETIs From 04 March to 16 March 2013
  Trainers Training Programme for the Directors/ Faculty of RSETIs was inaugurated by Sri. Umesh Bhat on 04 March 2013. A total number of 37 Directors & Faculty from various RSETIs participated in the programme. The Programme was conducted in Hotel Crocus, Bommanahalli, Hosur Road Bangalore. As part of Training programme, participants were also taken for an exposure visit to enterprises of successful Entrepreneurs of RUDSETI and Nelamangala & Ujire RUDSETIs.
  Padmabhushana Dr. D Veerendra Heggade, President of National Academy of RUDSETI has interacted with the participants and inspired them to first develop confidence in the RSETI concept so that they can lead their RSETI i successfully in empowering the youth and doing justice for the assignment for which they have been chosen Dr. H. Harish Hande Managing Director SELCO-India Magsaysay Award winner (2011) and Social Entrepreneur was the chief Guest for the valedictory Function, the other guest was Sri. S S Bhat General Manager Priority Sector Credit & Financial Inclusion Wing Head Office Canara Bank .


• Trainers’ Training Programme on Entrepreneurship Development - 04 to 14 February 2013 and Workshop on developing Course Module for Entrepreneurship Development Training - 15 to 16 February 2013 to the Master Trainers’ of Future Sharp Skills Limited (FSSL)
  Training programme on Entrepreneurship Development to the Master Trainers of Future Sharp Skills Ltd. was inaugurated by Sri. N. Narasareddy, Gen Manager (Rtd.) of Canara Bank on 4th February 2013. 15 Master Trainers of FSSL from different regions of the country participated in the Training. The participants were taken for exposure visit to Micro & Small Enterprises units of RUDSETI trained Entrepreneurs at Nelamangala and Ujire and also SHG s and SIRI project of SKDRDP at Belthangady and Ujire. The participants also visited RUDSETI Nelamangala & Ujire and interacted with the trainees undergoing training at RUDSETI.
  In the valedictory programme at Dharmasthala on 14 February 2013, president of National Academy of RUDSETI Padmabhushana Dr. D. Veerendra Heggade interacted with the participants, addressed them and gave away the certificates to the participants. Sri. Muralidhar Rao, CEO of FSSL and Sri. Venkatasubramaniam, Chief of Operations,FSSL, participated in the Valedictory Programme.
  
• Trainers’ Training Programme on Entrepreneurship Development to the Directors/ Faculty Of RSETIs From 18 February to 02 March 2013
  Trainers Training Programme for the Directors/ Faculty of RSETIs was inaugurated by Sri. SurendraKumar, Vice President of SDME Society on 18th Feb 2013. A total number of 41 Directors & Faculty from various RSETIs participated in the programme. The Programme was conducted in Hotel Crocus, Bommanahalli, Hosur Road Bangalore.
  As part of Training programme, participants were also taken for an exposure visit to enterprises of successful Entrepreneurs of RUDSETI and Nelamangala & Ujire RUDSETIs. Padmabhushana Dr. D Veerendra Heggade, President of National Academy of RUDSETI has interacted with the participants and inspired them to dedicate the remaining part of their banking service in serving the rural youth through RSETIs so as to create powerful India by 2020.
  Dr. R N Nagaraj, Senior Delivery Manager (FINACLE) of Infosys was the chief guest for the valedictory Function on 02 Mar 2013.
  
• Training Programme on Priority Sector Credit & Rural Development
  On 28th Jan 2013 ,Sri. S S Bhat, GM, Canara Bank, Priority Sector Credit & Financial Inclusion Wing, Head Office, inaugurated the 6 days’ training programme on Priority Sector Credit & Rural Development organized by National Academy of RUDSETI. for of Canara Bank. 28 Rural Officers from different Circles of Canara Bank participated in the training programme.
  In the training programme, topics on priority sector concept & classification, Direct & Indirect agricultural lending, High Tech projects, Financial Inclusion, promotion of SME, Govt Sponsored schemes, etc., were covered . Also, one day exposure visit was arranged in association with SKDRDP Dharmasthala, where in the participants visited two SHGs and One Prgathi Bandhu JLG to get the feel of formation and successful running of these kind of organizations.
  Dr. D Veerendra Heggade, Dharmadhikari of Sri kshetra Dharmastha, President of NAR, RUDSETI, SKDRP and SDME was the chief guest for the valedictory function held at Dharmasthala on 2 February 2013. After distributing the certificates to the participants, he advised them to dedicate themselves for the cause of Rural development, be the change agents in their area of operation and come up to the expectations of Canara Bank which has been serving the people in general and rural mass in particular.
  
• Appreciation Workshop on RSETIs at Gurgaon
  A Three day’s Appreciation Workshop on RSETIs was conducted from 05 September 2012 to 7th September 2012 at Gurgaon for the Project Directors' of DRDA and Nodal Officers' / Executives of Banks who are monitoring the activities of their respective RSETIs in the State of Haryana.
  The workshop was inaugurated by Sri.Prakash Kumar, General Manager, SIDBI. Sri. Raghavendra Rao,IAS Principal secretary,Rural Development Department, Government of Haryana,addressed the participants on the valedictory function and distributed the certificates to the participants.
  During the Workshop, the RSETI model of Entrepreneurship Development, the concept of Entrepreneurial Competencies ,Attitude, Motivation, Entrepreneurship were explained. There was an interaction with successful Entrepreneurs at RUDSETI Gurgaon and the participants deliberated the role of various agencies in effective functioning of RSETIs.
  
  
  
• Trainers' Training Programme on Entrepreneurship Development(25th batch) for Directors' & Faculty of RSETIs
  Trainers' Training Programme on Entrepreneurship Development(25th batch) for Directors' & Faculty of RSETIs was conducted at Bangalore from 24 September 2012 to 06 October 2012 as a part of capacity building in RSETI movement as per the MOU entered with MORD, GOI.
  31 RSETI Directors & Faculty Participated in the training programme. The Training programme was inaugurated by Sri. H.Somashekar, Director General, National Academy of RUDSETI.During the Training programme the Participants were also taken to RUDSETI Nelemangala and RUDSETI Ujire where in they were exposed as to how to maintain the Institutes , keep records, methodology of collecting and selection of applications, mode of conducting Trainings for unemployed youth , pre training and post training steps to be initiated etc.
  Dr. D Veerendra Heggade, President of NAR interacted with the participants at Dharmasthala on 2 October 2012. During the interaction he clarified the doubts and problems expressed by the participants and further he also advised them to make best use of the opportunity for developing un-employed youth in to Entrepreneurs and be a partner in the Economic Development of the Nation

  A Trainers’ Training Programme on Entrepreneurship Development (26th Batch)for the Directors’ & Faculty of RSETIs’ was conducted from 24 October 2012 to 10 November 2012, as a part of capacity building in RSETI movement as per the MOU entered with MoRD, GOI. Directors & Faculty from 34 RSETIs Participated in the training programme. The Training programme was inaugurated by Sri. H.Somashekar, Director General, National Academy of RUDSETI.

  Dr. D Veerendra Heggade, President of NAR interacted with the participants at Dharmasthala on 1 November 2012.. During the interaction he informed the participants that hitherto they performed the role of a Banker where as now they act as change agents bringing smiles on the faces of disgusted and rejected unemployed youth .Such youth will not be having hopes in the life and definite Goal for their life. The task is not simple but not impossible also hence advised the participants to make full use of this 3-5 years assaignment bestowed on them by the God.

• RSETI Appreciation Workshop at Lucknow
  A RSETI Appreciation Workshop for three days was conducted from 19-21 November 2012 at Lucknow for Project Directors of DRDA and Bank Executives monitoring the RSETIs , Officials and Nodal Officers' / Executives of Banks who are monitoring the activities of RSETIs in the state of Uttar Pradesh, at SIRD,Bakshi ka Talab Lucknow, UP State to create awareness about RSETI movement.
  The workshop was inaugurated by Ms. Renuka Kumar Dy. Secretary MoRD ,GOI. 71 participants comprising various Banks LDMs’,Projecr Directors & RSETI Diretors attended the workshop. The concept of entrepreneurship development and functioning of RSETIs were explained to the participants. They were also taken to BSVS Lucknow for getting firsthand knowledge & information of how RSETIs function. Trained Entrepreneurs from BSVS Lucknow and BSVS Raebareli interacted with the participating officials.
  Dr. Rajiv Kumar,IAS,Principal Secretary,Rural Development Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh addressed the participants on the valedictory programme and distributed the certificates.
• Programme to Financial Inclusion Executives of Canara Bank
  A three day programme to the Financial Inclusion Executives of Canara Bank was conducted at Bengaluru, from 18-20 October 2012. Shri.S.S.Bhat, General Manager, Canara Bank, Priority Credit & Financial Inclusion wing, Head Office, Bengaluru inaugurated the programme. Executives who are in charge of implementations of Financial Inclusion initiatives from all the 34 circles of Canara Bank participated in the programme. Besides discussing various aspects of Financial Inclusion, the participants were taken to a exposure visit to a Financial Inclusion village wherein they could interact with Business correspondents, Technology Service Providers, Account Holders and also Branch Managers.

• Training on Priority Credit and Rural Development to Rural Officers of Canara Bank
  A 5 days Training Programme on Priority Credit and Rural Development to Rural Officers was conducted at Bengaluru from 26 – 30 November 2012. Shri. Sunil Kurtkoti, Deputy General Manager, Canara Bank, Priority Credit & Financial Inclusion Wing, Head Office, Bengaluru, inaugurated the programme. 27 Rural Officers of Canara Bank who have joined the Bank last year had participated in the programme. The objective of the programme was to vision building and capacity building of young Bank Officers in the area of Rural Development. Apart from dealing various aspects of priority sector credit and rural development, the participants were taken to exposure visit to progressive farmers, RUDSET Institute and Grass Root level NGO’s involved in rural development.

• Trainers’ Training Programme on Entrepreneurship Development for the Directors/Faculty of RSETIs (B.No.27)
  Trainers’ Training Programme on Entrepreneurship Development for the Directors/Faculty of RSETIs (B.No.27) was conducted from 10 – 22 December 2012 at Bengaluru, 34 Directors and Faculty from 34 RSETIs participated in the training programme. Shri.Ravindra Bhandari, General Manager, Canara Bank, Bengaluru Metro Circle, inaugurated the programme. Shri.Harish Iyengar, General Manager, (Retd. SIDBI) was the Chief Guest of the programme. As part of the programme the participants were taken to Exposure visit to the units of RUDSETI trained Entrepreneurs, RUDSETI Institute, Ujire and RUDSET Institute, Nelamangala.
  Dr.D.Veerendra Heggade, President of National Academy of RUDSETI interacted with the participants at Dharmasthala, on 21 December 2012. In his address to the participants Dr. D.Veerendra Heggade has conveyed the following message to RSETI Directors:
  
  1. Focus on Settlement of trained candidates.
  2. Make the training residential and maintain discipline. This will help the trainers to overcome their weakness and enhance training effectiveness.
  3. Have faith in the system because this is a tested programme.
  4. You have the freedom to design new programme, use the freedom to make the programme more effective.

• Trainers' Training Programme for Directors' of RSETIs from 22nd August to 1st September 2012
  A Trainers’ Training Programme for the Directors’ of RSETIs’ was conducted from 22nd August 2012 to 01st September 2012 , as a part of capacity building in RSETI movement as per the MOU entered with MoRD, GOI. Directors from 45 RSETIs Participated in the training programme. The Training programme was inaugurated by Sri. N Ramesh GM (Rtd) of Canara Bank.
  During the Training programme the Participants were also taken to RUDSETI Nelemangala and RUDSETI Ujire where in they were exposed as to how to maintain the Institutes , keep records, methodology of collecting and selection of applications, mode of conducting Trainings for unemployed youth , pre training and post training steps to be initiated etc. The participants were also made to interact with visionary Dr. D Veerendra Heggade, President of NAR. During the interaction he clarified the doubts and problems expressed by the participants and further he also advised the them to have mission in life. He also emphasized in the present context the Directors’ of RSETIs should aim at alleviating poverty through self employment by creating opportunities for the unemployed youth in their area of operation. He encouraged the participants to face the problems/challenges so as to keep themselves physically fit to adopt “Hum Honge Kamyab” policy. The certificates were handed over to the Participants by DR. Veerendre Hegade.

• Appreciation Workshop on RSETIs at RANCHI, Jarkhand State
  A workshop for three days from 06-08 August 2012 was organized involving Project Directors' of DRDA who are coordinating with RSETIs, Officials from NABARD/SIDBI who are involved in entrepreneurship development and promotion of Micro Enterprises and Nodal Officers' / Executives of Banks who are monitoring the activities of their respective RSETIs at State Institute of Rural Development, Ranchi of Jarkhand State to create awareness about RSETI movement.
  The workshop was inaugurated by Smt. Renuka Kumar. Dy. Secretary MoRD. GOI. Sri. D K Srivastava Additional PCCF. Ranchi. Sri. S Saravanavel CGM NABA RD.Jarkhand. Sri. S K Singh AGM. SLBC. Jarkhand and Sri. R P Singh Director State Institute Rural Development were also present.
  The concept of entrepreneurship development and functioning of RSETIs were explained to the participants. They were also taken to RUDSETI Silli, Ranchi for getting first hand knowledge & information of how RSETIs function. The arrangements available at the RSETIs for Trainees, and the way the trainings are being conducted , was well appreciated by the participants.
  
• Manual of Standard Practices on RSETIs developed by National Academy of RUDSETI was released in New Delhi by Dr.D.Veerendra Heggade, President of National Academy of RUDSETI and Sri. Jairam Ramesh, Honorable Minister for Rural Development, Govt. of India, in New Delhi on 28 July 2012.
• Activities Report of National Academy of RUDSETI for the year 2011-12 was also released by the Honorable members on the eve of “RSETI Stakeholders Meet for recognizing best performing Institutes” held at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi on 28 July 2012. Sri. T.Vijay Kumar, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Rural Development, Govt. of India has informed that the Manual of Standard Practices for RSETIs developed by National Academy of RUDSETI will be a common policy document for all the RSETIs promoted by different Banks across the Country.

  “Rural Self Employment Training Institutes(RSETI) are privileged to up lift a sinking person and give hope that here is an organization to help him to shape the future” said Dr.D.Veerendra Heggade while addressing the participants of 22nd batch of Trainers’ Training Programme on Entrepreneurship Development on 26 May 2012 at Dharmasthala. He asserted that 3 things are needed in RSETIs:

  • Orientation of the youth by removing negative mind set.
  • Building the confidence through motivation.
  • Training to develop the required skills.

  He felt that it’s a rare opportunity to the Bank Officers to do different work in the service of the country. He called up on the RSETI Directors to give courage, hope, support and encouragement to the unemployed youth and be innovative. He advised them to enjoy the profession.

• Refresher Training Programme for RSETI Directors/Faculty : 14-19 May, 2012
  The First Batch of Refresher Training Programme for veteran Directors / Faculty of RSETIs was held at Bangalore from 14 to 19 May, 2012. 24 Directors/Faculty from various RSETIs across the country participated in the Training Programme. The Training was specially designed to enhance the training skills of EDP Trainers. The Programme was inaugurated by Sri Shadakshari, a well known Industrialist (Hotels/Resorts) and popular columnist (“Kshana Hotthu; Ani Mutthu”). Sri K.P.Muraleedharan, GM, Syndicate Bank also interacted with the participants. The valedictory was graced by Sri N.Narasa Reddy, Ex GM of Canara Bank.
• Trainers Training Programme on Entrepreneurship Development to RSETI Directors / Faculty:
  
  • The 22nd Batch of Trainers Training Programme on Entrepreneurship Development to RSETI Directors / Faculty Directors was held at Hotel Citadel Bangalore from 21 May 2012 to 31 May 2012. 30 RSETI Directors/State Project Co-ordinators from all over India participated. The Training Programme of 11 days was inaugurated by Sri K.P. Muraleedharan, General Manager, Syndicate Bank. The participants visited Ujire and Dharmasthala on 26 May 2012. Dr. D. Veerendra Heggade,President of RUDSET Institute had an interaction with the participants and distributed the Certificates.
  • The 23rd Batch of Trainers Training Programme on Entrepreneurship Development to RSETI Directors / Faculty Directors was held at Hotel Citadel Bangalore from 25 June 2012 to 5 July 2012. 39 RSETI Directors from all over India participated. The Training Programme was inaugurated by Sri Akshay Kumar, General Manager (Retired), Canara Bank. The participants visited Ujire and Dharmasthala on 3 July 2012. . Dr. D. Veerendra Heggade,President of RUDSET Institute had an interaction with the participants and distributed the Certificates.
• Sri N.R. Srinivasa Murthy, Director participated in the following Conclaves of RSETI Directors:
  
  • 1 to 3 May, 2012: Common Conclave of RSETI Directors of Banks sponsoring less than 10 RSETIs – held at National Institute of Rural Development (NIRD), Hyderabad
  • 29th May 2012: Conclave of RSETI Directors of Andhra Bank – held at Hyderabad.
• Trainers Training Programme (TTP): 16–26 April, 2012 :
  The 21st Batch of TTP for RSETI Directors was held at Hotel Citadel, Bangalore wherein 28 RSETI Directors/State Project Co-ordinators from all over India participated. The Training Programme of 11 days was inaugurated on 16 April, 2012 by Sri K.P.Muraleedharan, General Manager, Syndicate Bank.
• Evaluation Study of Model RSETIs:
  Evaluation Study of RUDSETI, Jaipur was conducted by D.T.Ramanuja, Director from 16 to 18 March 2012.
• Appreciation Workshop on RSETIs to Nodal Executives of Banks and Project Directors of DRDA in the State of Bihar was held at Hotel Minakshi International, Muzaffarpur, BIHAR from 11 to 13 April 2012. The Workshop was attended by a overwhelming No. of Participants (70) and was highly appreciated by the participants.
• Sri N.R.Srinivasa Murthy, Director participated in the Conclave of RSETI Directors of Allahabad Bank held at Lucknow on 20th & 21st April 2012.
